Does tiny still come up and rub you like a cat when you put food in the clip? I always thought that was awesome when he did that.

Yes and so does the yellow bellied regal. It's amazing how they are.

I think I see a couple empty spots for superglue in the front , you should get more :)
Hehe. There is a tote that has 20 or so cards of 10 in each one lol. Every time I am by Harbor Freight, I stop and grab all on the shelf lol.

Photo dump. Only thing to report is the addition of adding clown fish. My very old male who was in the sump that lost his woman a while back now has a little guy and has accepted him. Little guy went through hybrid TTM with a foxface for the 180 and they both did awesome. Hopefully the big male transitions and lives a few more years. Everything is growing, got the nutrient dosing figured out finally and split some more full frag plugs up, as they became colonies lol.

Also, the few sps frags I put in are encrusting and look good. Coralline is trying to get a foothold on the glass, but I scrap that lol. Only allowed on overflow and racks.

Well, I got the full go ahead to turn this tank into a mangrove lagoon. Wife wants to redo the formal living room to be more of a formal living room and not full of a 100 plants lol.

The tank will be in service right up until the move, but probably will not be making many updates to this.

I do plan to start a new build thread and document every step (for once) and take a bunch of pics.

The great thing is that it will be a top down focused tank, but with the stand being 36” side viewing will be awesome when sitting down.

I also have to check the tank to see if the bottom is tempered. I want to drill some holes for a closed loop. @dantimdad you wouldn’t remember if it was would ya?

And last but not least, the little clarkii found the nem!!!!!!!

OK, rent just went up!

No it's not tempered. GC doesn't use tempered bottoms that I am aware of.

You could call Tom or Beth and ask. @Joe Glass Cages ?

Well, this thing is going to be a frag tank for a bit longer than expected, so better update this.

We decided to remodel the formal living room and get rid of a few doors to open things up. Old farm houses had doors everywhere. Crazy farmers lol.

So I decided to divide the tank up some. I also went ahead and put in my diy rock, so it can get some coralline growing and some of that there bacteria in it.

The tank now goes large section with a rock structure layout for the small tangs. Merten is also on that side. The next section is small and has my btas and Ltas. Then right before the overflow box is the zoas and 60 or so rfas.

Sump is also a xenia sump now. This tank is severely phosphate limited, but nitrates are fine. Figured I would pull the macro and put in a tub to grow it out there. Will get sump pics tomorrow.

Ok, here are some pics. Tired plying with a orange filter and don’t like it. Just ordered the polyp labs filter set. Hope it does better.

This has been a great read through. Cool to see where the lagoon idea started. Was terrible to read and the nem getting chewed up by the gyre and killing all of those fish.

I have a gyre in my tank but haven't found anything to be able to secure the inflow side against walkers. Any recommendations?

I had a friend 3D print some guards. Sadly, they just slip over and slip off, so worked fine for bta and such, but the merten when pushing to move slid it off enough for tents to get in there. Need to figure out some way to actually fasten them to the gyre. I am thinking a clip that hooks to both guards. Kinda like the below horrible letter drawing lol. Top is clip that goes from one guard to the other on top of the motor. Bottom is guards. If that makes sense lol. It’s about the only thing I can think to do.

I think that would be great. I've got my gyre up and away from everyone but still exposed and 4 bta's in there. Is it just a matter of time?
