Man that looks real good, except for that tub lol.
Right!!!!! Not to mention the mess of crap that I have to sort through. Tubs and buckets of pumps, heaters, power heads, and god knows what else. Gonna test all this weekend and trash what doesn’t work. Then sort and label everything else. Should be a “fun” weekend lol.

Finally got the fish barn cleaned up.

Wife also decided that after we paint and rearrange the “formal living room” aka her plant room. We can move the tank in there. It will them be setup as a lagoon with some mangroves. Frags will be behind a rock structure that runs in the middle of the tank.

It will be a few months before that happens, but fine with me. Will let me tear down some small cubes and nano tanks.

Also, the hammer is still alive. I added some red ogo to the display and have been dosing nitrates and some phosphates to keep it alive. I have about 3-4 lbs of it in there and plan to try and double that in a week or so. Them make some more fish food lol.

I like spam.

But an update.

Just letting things settle in. The new sand is going nuts with diatoms, and that fine. Got a few frags in there, but at this point, not going to do much until we get the formal living room redone. Just add frags and post pics of them lol.

Between managing a 2000+ site network upgrade rollout that has to be completed in a month, some light remodeling, rebuilding an old truck for my son, I have no time lol.

Do you ever sleep? Man, you got a lot going on. I am interested in the old truck build. I would love to see some pics.
Old truck = 1997 f150 lol. We call it the old farm truck. It was the first new vehicle my wife’s grandfather ever bought. He retired from Ford and then bought a new truck as a gift to himself. He always bought old beat up stuff before that. He figured no point in buying a new truck when he had to commute 100 miles a day total driving from Eagleville to the Ford glass plant in west Nashville. It was handed down to us for use on our farm. My youngest son now wants it as his first vehicle. He turns 16 in December, so I am going through everything and rebuilding the engine.

Also, sleep is overrated. 3-4 hours a night is all I need lol. I manage to get that.

It has frags now!!!! Got to get the racks built, but sitting on the sand will suffice for now. Getting the evil damsel out of the 180 allowed me to go ahead and cut some zoas off rocks that I would not have been able to do so. Plus I found a purple bta split on the back of a rock.

It’s actually a lot of frags. 7’x2.5’ is a lot of room lol.

Well, this frag tank has been a very helpful thing.

Woke up this morning to my 20+ inch merten hung up in the gyre in the 180. It did not shred it, but did rip enough tentacles off to kill most of the fish. Water was clear, but fish dead and corals very mad.

Took all fish still alive out of tank and out in frag tank. Then took all corals and out in frag tank. Sucks though, as most of the corals had to be ripped from the rock and there is a ton of encrusting left.

Rocks are in tubs with pumps and canisters of carbon.

500 gallons sits ready if needed, but trying to salvage most of the water if possible. The 500g container is 56 degrees right now and the pod heater in it is super slow to heat.

I have 55 gallons heated and ready though. Just hung a filter sock on the brace of the 180, put a ton of carbon in it and have an old pump running water through it. Needless to say this morning sucked.

Losses- purple tang, Achilles tang, 8 year old lyretail anthis x5, powder brown tang, scopas tang, yellow tang, 3x bangai cardinals, and my awesome starry blenny.

Still going strong- tomato clowns (14 years old), 9 year old coris wrasse, 47x seaweed blennies and the sumped single clarkii that is 21 years old (mate died a few months ago).

The 180 getting a carbon run through. I have over 100lbs of carbon so it is going to run through this for a while. Also have some brs reactos and aquatop reactors full of carbon running that cannot be seen.

The frag tank is full.

Keep in mind, this frag tank is 7’x2.5’x1’. I did not realize I had so much in the 180.

Also, just found my 8 sexy shrimp, my nem shrimp, and my porcelain crab. Plus a ton of rockflower nems I had no idea were there.

I try to find the good in things, but this is hard to do here. All fish were at least 5 years old. I guess the only upside is doing the rescape I have been wanting to do. That purple tang hurts though. I brought it back from near death with horrible HLLE and it was the star of the show. Kept the clown fish from attacking me when I had to frag something or move something in the 180.

Sorry for your loss. What are your plans for the mertens? Going back in the 180 or in the frag tank?

Not much to update. Everything is staying stable, frags are growing and the fish barn keeps getting messed up lol. Had to find a pump for Paxtin's 14 biocube and made a huge mess. Now am cleaning it up in between calls.

Messy

And some frags. Merten healed up nicely. Also a good sign for the frag tank. Merten can heal after jamming a power head up when it pushed the guard off and ripped a ton of tents off, then tank is doing very well lol.
