What's the plans for last night's addition?
Normally it would all be qt’d. I know the person personally and all his stuff was already run through copper and he has not had any additions for a long time.

The des and purple tangs went into the 180.
The frags were dipped, as that’s super easy although not needed, and they are on a frag rack in the 180.

The haddoni is in a basket with the clowns in the 7’ frag. I have to make a spot for the haddoni in another tank, but no issues there lol.

The other 7’ frag/sump I got will be put up until I have time to clean and polish.

The 32 biocube will be setup in the fish barn today with Xenia and Pandora’s. It will be the new home for the sargassum angler I got a few days ago. It will be species specific and only house that guy and those corals. Will probably throw in some macros as well.

In short, between the scores this past week, I have a ton of rearranging and moving of things.

I also have 6 wrasses in qt for a score earlier this week lol. Plus all the corals from that one.

Today is going to suck bad. Clean up, move as much as I can and run around like a maniac. Basically I will be a clone of @fishguy242 today.

What??! I only saw the tank. Awesome for new livestock as well. By des, are you saying desjardini? I've got one on order and cannot wait for it's arrival.

Good luck with the move around today. Lmk if you get hungry. I've got all the required Spammich ingredients

He's perfection! I love when they are showing more of the dark blue than tan.

I traded my LFS some earl for a 3-4" desjardini. I couldn't find ONE for sale in southern California and he's had a hard time sourcing as well. He goes to the fish market in LA every Wednesday, so I drop by on Thursdays going. Last week he said there were 2 smaller ones but nothing he would put in HIS DT, so he passed and is still searching.

Is this the normal coloration and saturation on most DJ's that you see? I was at my backup fish store yesterday and they have three adults in a big acro display tank that are all of a lighter tan persuasion.
I want This.
6 bulbs of T5 and 6x kessil 360x. About a 12-14k light the way I have it and this is very close to the eye. My old iPhone hates the blue plus bulbs, so have to adjust temp a little. The forest fire digi, the gsp, the leather and the coraline is what I use to adjust to as close to life as I can.

Enjoying the thread! I’ve tended to always keep fish out of my carpet systems. Do you just tolerate the carpets eating your fish every so often?

Also, anemotes will *always* end up in a prop pump on a long enough timeline, it’s why I use triple guards and low power (if I use them at all)

So far I have not had that many fish end up in the nems.

as for them always ending up in a powerhead, this is the first one to do it in 8 years. Typically my diy guards are fool proof. This was the first not diy myself guard I have used. The gyre now has a diy guard from cross stitch mesh back on it and fastened with 50lb fishing line woven through the gyre and it. It won’t come off now lol. Just redo the line every 6-8 months and no issues.

We need to catch up.

While we drive to the boat to go diving, figured would update a bit, as this tank is going to a lagoon, but I have another 7’ acrylic tank to takes its place lol.

Tons of macro ( mostly in large tubs at this point, but no pics. You can see the types in the nem pic.
Cool little goby I have not identified yet
Small puffer
Tons of warty sea nems
100s of little crabs. All bad guys, but big puffer food lol.
couple of feather dusters
1 dock rock that turned out pretty cool. (I hang rocks off the dock in a basket and let them site for a year. I have about 7 more to get before I leave, but needed one for a bio filter for the critters above)
Sooty sea hare for the 500. Best algae eaters there are. Plus they swim with wing like appendages.

I can’t find pics of your other mertensii. Only the giant one in the frag tank.
Here is the sort of rainbow one. Down to 2 after last night. Sold 3 of them, as a friend was finally ready for them. Don’t fret though, trying to order more as we speak lol.

Stuff is about to get real the rest of this week and this weekend. Stay tuned for a full fish barn reboot.

Very impressive. I find mine is growing very fast.
If you feed them, they grow super quick. If just light and the water has some no3 and po4, not to fast, but they still grow. I want my big one to get to 3 feet. Once I get the fish barn redone, it will be fed everyday. Not a ton a day, but constant supply of shelled shrimp, mussels and salmon.
