Due to things going on in life, the tanks have been seriously neglected. All are fine, but fish have been peelers in auto feeder only, besides the wrasse still in their qt.

Spent most of the day so far with maintenance. All tanks tested great, some a tad low on nutrients, but not Dino bad.

Biggest issue was all skimmate lockers were full, skimmers were off and couldn’t see through the glass well this morning. Not bad as for 3 weeks, it is been rough around here.

Macro tank was due for a deep clean, so flow is up to 100% on all pumps and I am draining into a 100 micron sock. On the 6th sock right now lol.

Everything in the macro tank was put into baskets or in the sump for this, as it would rip everything to pieces. Sand was stirred and letting it blow all the crap around and down the overflow.

I do have to say, tanks pretty much have been on autopilot, so very happy about that.

Gonna let this finish and then add about 150lbs of rocks I have been cooking. They now need some color and not just bacteria.

Here a pic of part of the mess. Bought to go get the 3 canister filters fill them full of poly fill and speed this up lol.

Maybe. Hope to move gorg soon.
My hare is awesome. But couldn’t keep up. 3 weeks of neglect and that tank went to crap with gha. Nothing harmed, but too many pellets and not enough homemade food. For whatever reason, po4 and no3 stayed the as it should, but pellets feed gha in that tank.

All fixed now, so just got to stay on it lol.

Not a fan of the white rock lol. It will color up in time.

Everything took to the deep clean with no issues.

Your tank is much to new to have all that stuff in it... I can tell by your white rocks. I recommend removing your sand doing a rip clean and treating with cipro... ;)

But, but, but, it has coralline growing on the glass!!!!!!

It also has black sand. That needs to go in the trash, right?

Funny thing, under all that white rock is 20-30 year old mix of Fiji and Marshall Islands rock that has never been dry lol.

I say 1 month and the new rock will be covered in coralline and macros. Been sitting in the dark in a tub and dosed ammonia daily to keep bacteria population going. I did test tub water for giggles.

NO3: 10 (corrected for slight NO2 reading)
PO4: 0.1
Alk: 8.6
Mag: 1375
Cal: 440

It would process 1ppm ammonia in 3 hours lol.
