I’ve run into my first pest/nuisance in my 15 gallon cube. My zoas have started growing a clear thread like substance. Searching and googling I believe it is hydroids? Some remedies suggest to let it run its course, others say hydrogen peroxide dip. Ive also noticed a boom in pods, but there are some larger round jelly fish looking pods on the glass. I could not find any good info identifying them. Any suggestions?

I believe the jellies are the Medusa stage of hydroids.

The long strings do resemble digitate hydroids. I had them in my previous tank, and I'd try to pick them out when I could but proved tough to pull out. After a while (year old), they seemed to just dissappear. Haven't noticed them since.(two years old)
