Possible red sea seam failure?

Sorry, that is going to fail. You can try contacting Red Sea but their customer service isn't great. This is a manufacturer defect but they have been denying warranties. I would get a replacement pretty quick.

I have been out of the hobby for 15 years and then I decide to purchase this guys whole setup on marketplace. What a great deal and Red Sea is a top company. Now that I’ve got it all setup at my house and in it deep i find out about this seam issue. I’m looking at these seams and it is yet to get inbetween the glass but it’s definitely behind the silicone. what the heck. This is a Red Sea reefer 250 g2. I wonder if someone could make me a new tank to fit this stand. Or is the stand part of the problem.

As I'm looking, that looks like more like a normal wear and tear issue than the seam issue (which usually starts in between the glass panes). I have a little of that on my 170 after 6 years but I'm careful to not have my scraper hit the silicone. That tank should be fine as long as the damage doesn't get behind into the actual joint. If you're careful that could be years yet.

I would be getting straps around that thing and trying to shore it up before it collapses, while getting a new, non-RS tank to replace it.
