possibly getting scammed

i sold two brand new (sealed ) in box 16hd and the buyer comes back with this , these were purchased brand new from bulk reef supply a month and a half ago and never used or opened for even that matter

Could it be possible that BRS sent you a used unit? Things like that have happened before. Either way, if it was ordered recently I would contact BRS or have him contact them

That sounds like a whole lot of the buyer's problem, IMO. Typically you would buy from an authorized dealer to be 100% sure you are getting new, genuine products.

By any chance . do you have or can you retrieve serial numbers from BRS to match against the lights? Also do you have pics of lights still in the wrap in case this goes to a claim?

yea i have the receipt , and i have pics of the light with the seal still on the box

yeah i bought them from bulk reef supply and never used and sold them on here , haven’t heard any issues from any of the other buyers

Great- you should be covered. Had similar happen about 3 years ago and had pics/serrial # and he/she sent me back skimmer that wasnt even the right brand (but was a nice try) Bait and switch game or Buyer remorse

I can't remember, is there an actual sticker seal on the AI boxes? You can't tell from those pictures and if not, there is a chance you received a previously returned item and both of you are innocent here.

Agree with Cell. those pics don't show sealed boxes.
And truthfully, his text doesn't seem like someone who is trying to scam you.... I'd give him the benefit of the doubt unless something doesn't line up, but so far, you both could be not at fault here....

has he supplied you any pics showing corrosion on a unit matching the serial number of the unit you sent him?

Can BRS determine whether that unit may or may not have been sold/returned before?

That’s what I’d like to see too. The serial number with corrosion on it. Multiple angles too, or a slow video. This really doesn’t look like a scam.

This is really sad, I sent pictures buyer said he has pictures. When you say nib, everything should look clean and look new, if so I wouldnt file an rma with AI, and I also sent pics of the one light. I told him to put himself in my shoes. He can provide with the entire receipt.

Its sad people would rather take shots on here and accuse, I have been candid and honest.

And I also mentioned one of the lights was new and sealed in the box. I have no reason to scam just want what I paid for

I talked with PayPal as well and they said I’m protected, unlike you I like to try and work things out without a hastle. You paid freaking $157 for it and are hard up for being fair. Don’t worry about sending anything don’t send it it’s about principle. Apparently you didn’t put yourself in my position

I’m not hard up and I’m always fair. I’ll eat it, learn and move on. If I was lying inwouldnt have set up an rma with AI.

Upon closer examination, I think I can see clear stickers on some of the boxes, but there's no way to tell if they are broken or not.

Edit - didnt see the previous post before this comment. Hopefully you two can resolve this so both are satisfied.

I was just trying to come up with an amicable solution. I wasn't being trying to taking shots. Either way, this post is a waste of everyone's time. Lets just move on, I really don't care or have time. Just upsetting when shots are being taken at me, I could have easily posted similarly but I honestly didn't feel the seller was being dishonest, but what I received was not as promised. I just don't want people to think negatively about me, that's not what I am about. And its correct the seller might not have noticed it and bought it that way (great comment from LeftyReefer and Cell), but its not what I paid for. I need the light so either way I will make it work. The seller has been on here for along time, and is a reputable member - so I was hoping he was willing to make things right that's all.
