Would you want a super huge fish that wanted you to pet him?

Not that fish.... I'm gunna agree with 3fordfamily, plain jane. If I'm going to have that big of a fish and that big of a bio load i'll get a dogface puffer. They have some amazing personality and I've petted a few! There are also several varieties out there that are wicked cool, even though the plain dogface would be fine with me.

YEah, you know my wife likes them, but every time I see one in the stores, they always seem aggressive.

I've never had an aggressive hippo IMO they're one of the most docile tangs. My chevrons have been the most docile, and Kole

Idk,y'all people don't have hearts. And if anyone had a tank big enough to house fish that size we could put both of them in it. The unicorn fish seems as sweet as pie. ;):(

unicorns actually do absolutely nothing for me at all. Too plain Jane for me.

Not impressed. I like colors and patterns :D

I agree and feel the same about sharks. Everyone is so impressed with them, and I think they are SO plain Jane and boring. One would need hot pink polka dots or something equally crazy for me to have any interest at all.

You make me feel old. 40

I am told I am an old soul, my best customers were always in their 50s and 60s. My wife said it was because we had so much in common

People are so superficial. I remember years back people wanting blue ring octopus because how pretty they can be with their neon blue rings, Nevermind that they can squeeze through a hole the size of a pencil and kill 26 people in one bite.
It's not just what's on the outside, it's what on the inside that counts too.
But that isn't ugly, it has allot of blue to it.

If I wanted ugly fish I would have freshwater though!

:D

Temperament is much of why I love Angels, tangs, and wrasses. The colors and patterns are second to none also. There are plenty of other beautiful fish but I like the activity and personality of those three the best.

Freshwater fish aren't ugly, I had freshwater tanks for years and you can't beat discus. Besides my reef I will most likely start another discus/amazon tank.

I had FW for years, discus are beautiful but for the trouble they are I would prefer reef fish. Just my opinion though!

Some Fw fish are pretty neat.

I naturally think coral are much harder to maintain. Discus nowadays are easier to keep because they are just about all captive bred. Especially, since you have a Moorish Idol and an achilles tang. Those have to be harder than discus.
