Recently picked up a huge elegance, more than a foot diameter and 10 inches tall for a great deal at my lfs! Looking to upgrade my tank and grow out some huge lps colonies. Post your pics, please!

I just broke up a blue ridge colony Saturday. It was well paste grapefruit size. It grows like a weed, would like to be rid of it all, but it is encrusted. Sorry did not take photos. At one point it literally covered the entire front glass of my 75

That sounds huge! How long were you growing it?

I have had it for 20 years. It grows rather fast for a stony coral, as fast as digitada, etc.

I dumped a bucket full off at the LFS Saturday, mostly broken pieces, I don’t bother trying to break it in big chunks or preserve shape, I just break off as many fins as I can and mow the edges back with kalk paste. Great stuff, but. It on base rock, it deserves its own island.

The space invader has to be 9-10 wide. Thats a stream3 for comparison. The bubble is about 7-8 inches wide. There are other there you can see also.

Adding to my own post! Gonipora, skeleton is roughly softball sized. These polyps were extended nearly 6in at the store, and were huge. Ill post a pic of it open tomorrow

Have to throw this in. It’s massive. 5” tall stalks. 1.5” wide polyps. This is a mountain of palythoa grandis
