Folks will want your tank demensions
before making recommendations. Powder blue is one fish I would love to have but I have not been able to keep one alive very long.
Bypassing QT is risky with any fish being added but your decision. I lost many fish to velvet once when I bypassed QT with an emporer angel a couple of years ago.
I consider @vetteguy53081 very knowledgeable on tangs.

Mine never got ich or velvet but talk about a nasty tempered fish especially when there are new arrivals. Also a glut when it comes to food hence it attained size and fast growth.

i have a powder blue tang for 2 years now its in a 4x2 tank i did not QT could i add another tang with it idk i want a black but not getting 1 cause i think it would get the crap kicked out of it by the powder blue or my purple can i add other fish bar another tang to the tank yes i can

Make the PB the last because he may fight any new comers, esp tangs. Without doing quarantine, he most likely will get a few spots of parasites or more if he is weakened by the older tankmates. This ick magnet may be the breeder of parasites and kill the rest....so watch him carefully.

Im getting a PBT in a few weeks and Im for sure going to QT it! Did a lot of research and as @vetteguy53081 says almost everything Ive seen says they have a nasty attitude..

Close to last . It should be last from the last 3 Ive ever had.
If you did not see, I have a 9_" unicorn tang coming.

Any advise for adding the powder blue for the OP?? I also Got reef pro to delay the shipping 3 weeks so my QT tank will be free. Adding it to a juv blue hippo (he doesnt really care about anything in the tank) and a purple and yellow (these two are thick as thieves)!

They re not necessarily Ich magnets as they dont ship well at times and are overcome mainly with velvet opposed to ich- This is one I Highly recommend to quarantine to alleviate this possibility.
