Somebody please help i dont know whats goin on with him. He has been sick for over a month. First thought he had ick just finished doin his 30 day paraguard treatment and not a sign of improvement. After first three days he he went blind and stopped eating all food except for the nori sheet that i put in same spot of tank daily he finds it and eats it. After about two wks i did a fresh dip and bath on him few days after that he shed his whole slime coat. At night he is always in return flow from powerhead by day he swims around center rock in tank near where i place the nori. Signs point to be velvet as do the spots i think, however he has had them for over a month and at this point no other tank mates have contracted or shown any signs of outbreak. I thought velvet kills within 24hrs. Either way spots bever dropped off like ich and velvet should to continue cycle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I wanna save him!!!!

Velvet doesn't always kill that fast, and many fish survive it, struggle, or build a temporary immunity. It looks like velvet to me, but ich at the very least if not. Paraguard won't help much. Review this, since it would be the same general treatment either way until someone is sure and get a QT ready. Pretty tang, hope it makes it!

It looks like it could be velvet and ich. I would use copper. I would use either copper power or Coppersafe. The Hanna copper test kit is a must have in my opinion. The spots that are not dropping off is probably a secondary bacteria infection from parasites. Hope this helps.

If you have not had any new additions then it probably is just ich more than likely. Going fallow was hard for me but it is nice knowing your system is clean and you do not have to worry about ich.
