Do u guys think 2 power heads are over kill in a 30l i have 2 Aqueon 700 Gpd I was reasearching and they said one should suffice I had both in the back at first both pointed at the middle of the front glass but after readingthat I left only one in the tank pointing at the same location .I'm brand new to all this I have a million questions lol. But that is for the good tips so far really appreciate it

ask away! all questions are good questions :)
it will depend on what you have in the tank to be honest. some corals want a turbulent chaotic flow, some cant take the beating.
i would aim for a smooth flow with as few dead spots in the take as possible. if that means using a second PH so be it :)

my return pipes (2) are pointed up at the surface about 1/4 - 3/8 below. my power head is about 800 gph and i have that about 7 inches below the surface pointed up as well. i have a smooth circular flow in my tank, from forward at the surface, down the front glass, backwards across the sand bed then back up the back wall towards the overflow and power head again.
my flow is not chaotic in anyway.

That's awesome I'm in the process of getting through the cycle now so I don't have anything in there yet as of right now I have the return pipes pointed slightly at the surface and my one power head on the right it seems decent in ur opinion should I keep the one going or put my second one back in
