Hi guys

So last night I lost my clown fish to the wave-maker. I found him dead stuck on the back I can down this morning and also found my other clown and pyjama cardinal in the same place. That’s 3 fish in one night . I’ve had my tank up and running for 8 months now with the same PH from the start and no issues. All I can think is I’ve placed a new thermometer to the right of the PH and this has attracted the fish and they have got caught and dragged into the PH.
Any thoughts people??

its extremely rare, and more than coincidence, that a powerhead can kill 3 fish in one night.

How long you had the fish? How big is the tank? Any other fish in the tank?

A tank pic usually helps a lot to generate more idea's.

What kind of powerhead?
Just curious since I used to see quite a few horror stories of AI Nero design having a tendency to suck small fish into the back.
*been running a 'nem guard on my Nero 5 the whole time I've had it just out of fear, even though I have no anemones

I've only seen one healthy fish killed by a power head. It was a cleaner wrasse that darted into an mp40 as mysys was blowing out. It was not pretty. I've never had a healthy fish much less 3 caught in a powerhead. Many people think that's what happened when they see a fish on a power head but as already mentioned it's usually a dead or dying fish that gets caught in one.

Tank is Juwel 240L
blue and white marine LED
filter is Juwel bioflow 3.0
I’ve literally just ordered an flubal 307 external filter as I’m not impressed with Juwel filter system.
