Tank is on autopilot.

Just saw my one Goni I purchased over a year ago is actually extending its polyps for the first time since the crash in Oct!! Was very excited to see this. This Goni will be going to the small tank soon

Going to get the fish trap in tonight or this weekend and try to catch the tomini and flame to transfer to the little tank.

Been a little bit. just got back from 5 days away, tank sitter just refilled ATO and threw food in the tank.

Was monitoring from afar via apex. Everyone was healthy and happy when I got back.

I swear Blimpy recognizes me because I he seemed extra excited to see me.

going to do some cleaning of the tank this weekend and maybe redo some of the rock work.

Tank is just running.

Been siphoning out flat worms weekly.
Have added 2 fish in the past month and never see them on the second day.

Stopped running the halides, now just on the cheap 21led bars since the tank just has some disco shrooms and a couple zoa/palys
I like the color. Just wish it was brighter.

Going to pull the tank down soon treat all the rock with flatworm exit, clean the sump and vacuum the sand and reset the aquascape.

Then a couple days later do a flatworm treatment on the tank and a big water change.

Anyone ever. Used a pvc motor sized ball valve in their system? Thinking about changing some things up

Oh its just cruising along. I need to spend a very long weekend on it but just don't have the time right now.

Have a really bad red planaria outbreak and I want to individually pull and treat the rocks and transfer to a stock bin while i treat the tank with flatworm exit.

A basic reset. Other then that I am sucking flatworms out every could days and everybody is happy and healthy.

Toying with setting up a 3rd tank here soon. Which will make time a little more spready thin.

Time to start tackling this tank and getting it back on track.

3d printed a support bracket so I can transfer the 3d printed Algae turf scrubber from my 54G tank.

This turf scrubber has been working very well, too well on my 54g and I have bottomed out nitrate and phos. I had planned on printing another variation for this tank but for now I will let the ATs eat all the nutrients it wants.

Next is cleaning up wires, moving some rocks around and maybe possibly soon finally ceiling mount my floating canopy.

3d printing some holding brackets for 120cm fans to finally mount them properly.


And going to play with my nicrew 100w as suplemental lighting to the halides and see how it looks.

Putting things away for the night. Found some interesting things.

About 6 months ago I broke down a couple tanks and the occupants went into my sump. They were never seen again. Yellow tail damsel, sexy shrimp and a pair of clowns.

Today I found the yellowtail damsel in my return pump chamber and the sexy shrimp in another chamber. No sign of the clowns though.

Anyways yellowtail damsel went into the display, and sexy shrimp was transferred over to the 54g.

Added a bag of GFO and changed out the filter sock, then blew off all the rocks in the tank. Found my big gyro was unplugged so that got cleaned up , repositioned and turned back on.

Still not running the halides as the tank has just mushrooms and some palys.

Moved the nicrew 100w from the “refugium” to the canopy and no longer running a refugium. Hoping the ATS helps. May look for another 100w nicrew on market place to ad to the last light slot.

Is it a bad idea to introduce hair algea and let it run wild to bring down my phosphates?

Plugged in the halides for the evening. Miss the tank being bright. Fish are all doing well.

Got my 3d printer fixed yesterday. Haven’t printed anything in weeks.

Have a list of items I want to print for the tanks. First was the bracket for the ATS.
second is a pair of these fan mounts.

Came down this morning to this one finished up, had to get it fitted and tested. All is good but I made the legs about 1/4” too long. They current sit at the water line, going to shorten them up in the model but for now a piece of RO tubing underneath will work.

Worried with them touching the water they will have salt creep weep up them faster then not touching the water.

Fans are wired to a 24v port on my apex and controlled to turn on if the tank hits 80*

They are a bit loud but I am okay with that because they are only running when the tank is hot
