Beautiful tank! Not sure if you still have them, but how did the Engineer Goby and Starry Blenny do together? Any issues?

Thank you! Unfortunately I had to re-home the engineer. Not due to agression between he and the blenny, but because he proceeded to dismantle my entire display. You really need a display that is designed to accomoaccoman engineer goby. They are amazing fish!

Sooo....... as happens in the hobby, I have experienced my ups and downs. I had a crash that resulted in a loss of all of my SPS corals. I then had a ridiculous algae outbreak.... I lost a few fish in the process. It's been a rough road, but I am happy that I stuck with it.

So.... I did a thing today.
I ordered a pair of Philips CoralCare Gen2 fixtures from BRS. The deal was too good to pass up. Based on the dimensions of the fixtures though, they are going to cover the entire footprint of the tank. Out to the edges. Should be exactly what I wanted to accomplish. An LED version of a multi-lamp T5 fixture.

Tank is doing great once I figured out it's identity. I decided to go hardcore with SPS and get away from doing softies. I still have a few that I need to rehome, but once I figured out where I was going, it has made it a lot less stressful. I also got a firm handle on my water chemistry and realized that my past experiences were largely based on luck. I will be posting some new pictures today.

Based on what I am seeing so far, the color and spread on these CoralCare Gen2 fixtures is top notch. You don't have the crazy configurability that you have with the Radion or the Hydra, but it operates in a similar manner to the Kessil where you have a slider that goes from daylight to blue.
I did have an issue with one of the fixtures out of the box. The colors are reversed in the fixture. CoralVue, the US Distributor, shipped a replacement without delay and it should arrive this week.
I should also add that these fixtures come with a 2-year warranty. This is twice what Ecotech and AI offer on their fixtures.

Update two months in..... I do not regret the purchase of the CoralCare fixtures for a second. These, combined with dialing in my CaRX have made massive differences in the way things are going with the display. I took this FTS on Monday after adding some new gorgonians to the garden.

Picked up a new (to me) display just recently. Looks like I will be migrating the pieces I want to keep into the new system and retiring this tank. The new display is a little smaller (90g) but it will give me the chance to hold onto the pieces I want and let go of the annoying and invasive corals that have been plaguing me since I erroneously added them to my display in the beginning.... Here are a few of the pieces I plan to try to hold onto.

I have been fighting high phosphates and hair algae as a result. I tried lanthanum chloride and I was able to get a temporary drop in phostphate, but I think that there is so much bound up in the sandbed that it just shoots back up. Need to accelerate my new tank project and take this system down to pull the sandbed out.
