New to the r2r community and hobby. Grappling confusion with all the acronyms, equipments needed, and pvc? (Never have I). However excited to start my first fowlr tank and a quick learner maybe.

Have this so far after 4 to 5 weeks
-prostar 90
-300w heater (forgot brand already)
-2 red sea reef 50 lights
-seachem impulse 800 pump
-aquavitro division 125 skimmer
- 55 pounds of Texas holey rock, and fiji pink/white sand.

Just put in 4 happy but swimming mightily clownfish (need to figure out how to lower the water flow so it doesn't vortex the fish and sand).

Looking to add a uv filtration and would love best recommendations that's easy to install, not going to break wallet, small enough to fit somewhere in or back of cabinet, and does the trick well.

Any help with how to lower the water flow- it's on lowest setting and still too strong

Thanks community friends and looking forward to bringing anyone interested on my journey of follies but hopeful joys!

To help with flow.
Two jebao wavemakers, one on each side in the back, flow towards the front.
They are adjustable, inexpensive and easy to use. OW 10 or 20. You can pick up a pair on ebay for$100-125.
I've never used the impulse pump so I can't speak there but I don't think it's really for internal tank flow.
Hope that helps.
