For my battle with the dinos I've decided I'm gonna try the natural route with just a little tech lol. No water changes, blowing off rocks, stirring up the sandbed and changing floss. About an hour ago I did a little deep clean and moved some rock around for better flow and export. I had a small Aqua UV in my tank supply closet not being used so I pulled that out and got it going with a Sicce Syncra Nano pump. These dinos picked the wrong tank to mess with lol. Everything's still ticked off right now but I think I can live with for now.

You've got some beautiful tanks! Wow!

I'm going through a battle of dinos, too, like @luis angel mentioned! You're not alone!

Have you identified what type of dino you have? That can tell you the best methods to get rid of the nasty guys. I, for example, have ostreopsis, which goes into the water column at night. UV is probably the best option for ostreopsis, but I'm going to hold back on that because a UV sterilizer for my size tank is pretty expensive lol. I actually hung some poly fil in my tank, and every afternoon the thing is nasty, full of dinos. I'm not really sure how it works, but I think when the lights come back on, they go to the poly fil as their place to camp for the day, because it's in a higher lighting spot than the rocks. When it's full of dinos, I just take it out, rinse it in tap water and put it back in.

Best of luck!

I haven't gotten a microscope yet. But it seems exactly like your situation. Disappear at night, come back when the lights come on, group up in the filter floss during the day. I had the UV from my 60 gallon so it's not too powerful. Hopefully it does the job. I'll keep you updated.

Quick update on the tanks. First the 10 gallon nano. I added the UV about a week ago and I can confidently say that the dinos are almost completely gone. There's still some in the low flow areas but those are receding too. Not to much new on the Prostar. I mounted 3 of the 4 frags I had in the rack. Hopefully they do well. I also ordered some mounts for the Orpheks. They should be in tomorrow. They mount the led bars to a piece of 1515 aluminum. Then figuring out a way to mount all the lights that the Warden is okay with. I picked up a cheap bowerbanki frag while getting salt because... Why not lol. Maybe it'll color up some.

My little reefing station/table. I've been looking for cabinets with the same dimensions. Eventually all my electronics will be in one whenever I upgrade the sump. I want to have one on each side of the tank. Don't mind the butter knife lol, I was using it to crush some vermitid snails.

Today is officially one year since setting up this tank. I've had some ups and downs in this first year but i can confidently say that overall, I think it's been a successful year. I've lost some fish and coral. Some my fault, and others just didn't make it for some reason. But I'm happy with how it's looking... For now lol.

I've already started the next upgrade project for the tank. So far I've got the lights, the light mounts, and a section of the mount together. Just gotta figure out whether it'll be hanging or coming off the wall with brackets.

This isn't the best picture, but it shows the Orpheks mounted on the aluminum mount with some 3D printed brackets. My two Hydra 32's will be mounted in between the Orpheks. The two Orpheks will be controlled by the Hydros

Congrats on year 1! Your tank looks awesome and you should be very proud of what you've created!
