Took a bit to loaddo you have pictures? #fishmedic
Wish i could. Hes gone now. Died half an hour ago. I think it was fin rot or some disease. Whole family is saying i dont take enough care of them so i just wish i had an answer. It definetly wasnt being attacked though.Could you get clearer shots? It’s hard to make much out there. Being a slow moving fish, they are prone to attack from aggressive fish.
Not sure, he died about half an hour ago. I think it was a disease of some sort but not sure. I tried melafix and its been 6 days and even though he is dead, never saw a difference. I couldnt use most things because he would only eat clams and stopped eating sadly.I agree, this looks like another fish trashed it....did it get damaged somehow?
Your best bet would be to treat it in a medication tank with a true antibiotic like Neoplex, Maracyn 2 or Kanaplex.

He just hid and sat on rocks all day but every night he came out for like 5 minsSorry to hear. Did he glass surf by any chance or rub against anything that you noticed?
Yeah, im just trying whatever i can. Other fish are doing better though. For future reference, melafix is not a very effective medication. Using true antibiotics like the one suggested yields far better success.
