My existing pump is a Ecotec vectra S2 which has a one inch inlet , and a three quarter outlet. For some reason I bought an M2 as a replacement when needed. It has an inch and a quarter inlet , and an inch outlet . Does anyone see an issue since they are both DC variable with me reducing the new pumps inlet , and outlet with bushings ? PVC pipe , and fittings

The M2 will work just fine as a replacement for the S2. Reduce the fittings down and run it at a lower speed.
My only worry is that the water wont fill it completely and start to cavitate I am going to pipe it and experiment . I also read before you really don't have the luxury of time if you need it , and don't want to change its sizes so am going to use proper pipe size then a coupling then a bushing add the smaller pipe to suit the existing and then use MJ clamps when I use it so I don't risk wet glue getting into my system . Thanks for the reply makes me more confident
