So what is the resolution and how much bandwidth do they take? Anyone used it as the background for Zoom meetings?

Hi can you please tell me what the delayed time is between live action and video veiwing?, motion detection alerts ect.
Im currently using a different camera system on my house but dont like the 30-45s to 2min delay in alert and video vs live action.
Alot can happen in 30sec to a min.

the delay on cameras is usually due to slow internet.
I have a gigbit Fios and I have no delay

One Amazon looking at tank and sump underneath. Mostly to see water level but plugged into the same CGI protected socket. Will shut off if power out.

I use a nest indoor cam. Resolution and picture quality kinda suck but they always work and the interface is nice. They have night vision but can't see anything because the glass reflects the IR light back into the camera

I have three that have saved me multiple times. I have an apex and can watch numbers, but that sometimes doesn’t tell the full story. Having them had been great and it’s also makes me happy when I’m having a crap day at work. It’s a motivation to get thru this and rush home to see what I have been working on for so long.

I have one aimed at my biocube from a distance that also covers the rest of the room. I keep meaning to buy another just to set up and aim specifically at it but haven’t done it yet.

I use one web cam.
I once used a "GoPro" clone inside the tank to test taking video underwater, not exactly live cam, but gives a different perspective.

So where exactly are you putting your camera for a front view? My closest wall is 12 ft away so unless the camera zooms good, it won't work

I have this question too. Do the Wyze cameras zoom in enough to make this work from across the room?

Ive got 5g netgear modem and the highest available internet connection through my cable provider.
I think its the system itself but not 100% sure.

Let's talk about cameras on our reef tanks again! A member recently started a thread about which camera to use so I thought we could take it up a notch and talk about which ones and where to put them! Little WiFi cameras are so cheap nowadays and I have found the peace of mind they can give you is invaluable! They can also be something that can save your tank! They have been for me.

Today let's talk about tank cameras.

1. How many cameras do you have and where do you place them?

2. Which cameras are you using and are you happy with them?

I have two cameras on my tank. One on the display tank and one on the filter room. They have been working excellent and they have night vision capability. They are also controllable to zoom, change tilt and rotate.

Great idea, my son has not finished setting up my system, for out doors. Will be easy to add one or more as needed in the house.

Cameras are great until you realize your internet has monthly data limits.

and how fast is it you need numbers.
5g is for cell phones not wifi

I set one up when I go out of town, made the mistake of not doing it one time and return pump quit working. Luckily everything was fine.

My modem is 5g.
I believe the cable is fiber optic since they ran all new fiber optic starting in 1998 here.
