Q on mixing DD salt

My p04 has been through the roof lately so i have been doing a string of water changes. I am using the DD salt and did a water change of 30g yesterday. I can only make 30g at a time (thats what my rubbermaid holds) and i really want to do another one today and tommorow. On the DD instructions it says to wait 24 hours before adding to the aquarium. Is this really necessary? I have a ton of flow with a mag 17 in there.

I always wait 24 hours no matter what salt Im using so be cautious.

On another note check the Po4 in your water change water, I quit using the DD salt because I was reading the Po4 at .08 which is higher than the target value of phosphate.
