Hi Everyone,

Last Sunday I setup my EVO as a QT tank using QuickStart 900 and Ammonia. My ammonia was up for 2 days and then dropped.

On Thursday my nitrite was 4ppm and my nitrate was 150. I did a water change yesterday and my nitrate is 40ppm and nitrite is 2ppm. I am assuming it's not ready for fish yet?

Should I add more Quickstart or just wait?

Typically, multiple ammonia additions are required, and then, once the tank can assimilate 1 to 2 ppm of ammonia in 24 hours, it is considered "marginally established". Nitrite is not toxic to marine fish.
