I have 17 gallon qt. Ammonia was at 0 yesterday now at 0.50. How much water to change. Treating with coppersafe. What such a increase so fast. One watchman gobie 5 in long, one hippo tang little bigger than silver dollar, one fire fish 2 in and one lunar wrass 4 to 5 inches. Didn't even feed till this morning quarter cube of frozen brine. My filter is doing 60 gallon an hour that's the best I got. I just cleaned the filter.

So - coppersafe is mixed with an amine. That give a false positive on most ammonia tests, to a level of 0.50 ppm. Using that as a normal starting point, you should only be worried if the ammonia level rises above that.

Porcelain crabs are filter feeders, I feed mine baby brine daily. I’m not sure how else to get them enough to eat. Snails will eat algae or detritus, depending on the species. Hermits can get by with a punch of food every other day or do. You can target feed the anemone once a week or so depending on the species.
