I have a green trumpet coral with about 7-8 heads. 2 of the heads which are on the same brach seem to be growing pretty quickly but they are growing out and down. They keep growing closer and closer to the substrate. I will add pictures this evening when i get home but is this normal, should i frag these to stop them from growing into the substrate?

This is the backside and the smaller head.

How do i edit post? Anyway here are the pics

Agreed, i guess you can angle the plug into sand to give it more clearance. It will branch and like a tree will adjust its growth.
