I went to an lfs today to pick up my custom ordered fish, a sailfin blenny, anyways they ordered in the wrong fish, I had wanted an Atlantic sailfin and they ordered in a dusky blenny. They then told me that there is a 0% chance of my getting a sailfin blenny for at least six months and that no one sells them ever, especially because now is hurricane season. Bluezoo sells them but their stock is “email me” status (which I will). But is this really true? Can I really not get a sailfin blenny? If someone knows where I can get one please PM me or post here so others can see too, it’s an awesome fish. Attached is a picture of the Atlantic Sailfin Blenny.

LiveAquaria has a black sailfin. It could very well be that your LFS has a supplier that only has them available during that time. I can't speak from personal knowledge, though.

So its not entirely true (most likely). Shame too, its the only LFS around here and I'll have to go back. Know anyone who does carry them?

The genus is emblemaria, I'd really like one if anyone can provide one. I've email KP aquatics about it already.

Do you need any snails, peppermints or emeralds? If so, search for one of the divers from the Keys or Caribbean and put in your own order. I use Reeftopia, but they do not always have Sailfin Blennies, but an eyelash is just as good to me. In any case, there are a few more people whom you can find. Most stores and wholesalers order from these same people.

I emailed KP and they do have Emblemaria pandionis. I learned more about hypacanthus (my original goal) and found they usually don’t like the warm temps of our reefs.
