Question for Reef Octopus Skimmer owners

Hi everyone.

I have a question about my new Octopus XP 8000 internal cone skimmer.
How long does it take to break in? I have it running for 4 days now and it is still generating a lot of micro bubbles in the sump. The water level in sump is 10 inches. The skimmer is full up to the "minimum water level" mark for 4 days.

Should I start raising the water level now?

i ran mine in vineger for a day before putting it in my tank (btw its an nwb-150 half cone) and just adjusted it up slowly till it started doing its thing.

mine xp3000 took about a week, but i think i remember seeing that 7-10 is normal, but i have also seen ppl say that 2 weeks or more, but i think they didnt have much of a load either.
