I have a Reefer 250 36”x20”x21” and I am currently running 3 ai prime hd’s And I have no complaints but I’m curious if I would benafit from a 4th prime hd? It’s a mixed setup with some sps directly under the pucks and lps, zoas spread out lower.

Assuming you have a 1x3 layout? With a 4th light, you could go to a 2x2 layout and get more coverage on the front/back edges, but that would really only be required if the SPS you have in the center were growing out so much that they were shading the corals below (or shading them more than is ideal, at least).

I think you would gain more from going with a hybrid setup than a 4th ai prime.

I agree, add a couple T5's on there to really give things a boost in growth. Will even out all the light, reduce shadows and overall make a big impact.

I thought of adding a T5 supplement but I’m really against hanging a fixture from the ceiling.

Nice, that’s not a project I’m against just not something I’m able to do at the moment. Definitely something I’ll be looking into.

If you just want to stick with LED's, then stay with what you have, and add maybe another one down the road if you need it, or if you really want total tank coverage go with a Mitra LX 7206 light or and Orphek Atlantic V4 light panel.
