I am going to start and try breeding clowns soon:smile: and i am researching everything i need to do so. For the larvae culturing tank i am going to use a round black (15g maybe or 10) rubbermaid tub with a standpipe leading to the sump. now heres the question: From what i have read (i am reading Martin Moe's book on breeding marine fish) there is little flow coming from the sump to tank (at most a trickle to prevent damage to the ever so delicate larvae) so what type of filtration should i use? Is a skimmer necessary for such a slow system? Or should it just be a fuge and some bio-balls. Am i on the right track?

Thank-you, Elan

I didn't use a skimmer. So is this larvae tank connected to the main tank? then how do you regulate temperature? What's the setup like?

if you want to check out my link below, it has my nursery tank set up and some explanations, pictures, and videos, may be it'll help
