I have been asking alot of questions about my pendants lately. This week I aquired a set of Sunlight supply 250w DE Pendants. I wasn't sure on how to hang them at first. However, I will be using some 3/4" conduit bent up and then painted black. Should look good. Thanks to all of those who suggested this and showed some pictures!

Now on to my new Question. Seeing how I won't be doing a Canopy my wife is concerned about the light shining all around. The tank is located in our living room next to the couch. Will there be that much "overspray" of light? There something that one could hook up with the above mentioned way I am hanging the pendants? I do realize it will be bright but I don't think it will be as bad as she thinks it will. I just told her we won't need lights on in the living room anymore!!!:xd:

Sorry for the long post. Also thanks for all the help and replies!

you like to see the sun shine at night :-)

it will be bright, especially if you hang it higher. If lower, then you'll risk burning the corals. you could try to tank the pendants in a way that is angled more towards the tank so that you don't get that much over exposure of the light. Just a suggestion. I did something similiar on my old tank with no canopy and it did help quite a bit.
