Hello,

I am about to come into possession of a 48*24*24 tank. I intend on keeping SPS and LPS in this tank. i have 2 Kessil A360we's here at the house already. I keep reading mixed reviews on the Kessil's performance when it comes to keeping SPS. I never had a problem with them over my frag tanks, so I dont know who to believe. My other option is to pick up a reefbreeder's photon-w 48inch light. i would very much like to save the money and not buy another light.

What do you all think?

It is very possible to keep SPS with Kessils. It seems that the issues people have may stem from not realizing how powerful these lights are. You definitely need to start low and work your way up. I toasted some SPS early on and ended up dialing back to 50-60% and I'm doing well now. I have a 75gallon with 2 kessils.

Iv got kessil 150 over my 29 cube and full of sps dose great good growth and looks amazing

Good deal. Im glad to hear that. I really didnt want to buy a new fixture. Two 360we's should be plenty for that tank right?
