Heads up. From my experience these aren't picky eaters as is often claimed. They're just crustacean eaters. They aggressively eat small shrimp and crabs. You'll need to start them on feeder shrimp. I just keep them on their preferred diet. You might be able to transition them after they're fully acclimated. Frozen raw shrimp easiest jump.

So, live ghost/grass shrimp?

Agreed, I had one in a fowlr many years ago. It ate everything (meat based) that I gave it, including live feeder goldfish and mollies. My main food source for the entire tank was a raw shrimp blend with some macro alge and vitamins (home made) The lion inhaled this as well.
