Hey,
at first my name is Nick, Iam from Germany (try to give my best with English) and happy to Join this Community.

Iam Running an 100 gallon Reef Tank with 3 Radions XR30, i have a Radion XR30 G1 with TIR lenses which i have no use for any more and planning to run a Refugium. The Most Parts are done and Chaetomorpha is already on the Way to me.

I didnt Want to buy A kessil and was wondering if a Radion XR30 Could also run good results.
Did someone tried something like this?

Wanted to run it on Blue and Red only, These are the spectrum the Kessil 380 Cover in High Crow Mode .

Do someone have an idea if this Would work or maybe have a better spectrum to run with?

Regards
Nick

If you turn up the red and blue spectrum, the xr30 would make a great refugium light :)

Hi, yes I believe the Radions will work on your Fuge, as I use to run M/H's on my Fuge, and then switched to Reef Breeders Photon V2+ LED light on my Fuge and everything grows really well. I do run the Red setting a little higher then normal, as this is suppose to help with algae growth

Thanks , I was wondering if i Should run Red, Blue and Royal Blue on 100% with 100% intensity. With All Blues and Reds on 100% it dont give u the Purple/red Look.

Maybe lowered Blue ?

Yes, maybe lower on the Blues, and maybe run the Whites at 50% or so, just experiment with your lights and see how fast the algae grows.

I have a XR30 G3 Pro that lights my refugium. I've had good success running mine on the 7K preset included with the Apex (Red, Green, Cool White - 100%, Blue, Royal Blue - 45%, UV - 0%). My huge is a 60g tall, so I run mine at 47% intensity.
