SCIENTIFIC NAME - Thalassoma lucasanum

COMMON NAME – Rainbow, Paddlefin, Cortez Wrasse

SIZE – 6 in (15 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 70 gal (265 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans and some invertebrates.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - No

CAPTIVE CARE – This an aggressive fish and should be kept with other aggressive fish. It may kill and eat smaller fish. This fish should be added last to the tank because of its highly territorial nature. It may be kept with a mate if the tank is over 150 gallons. The Rainbow Wrasse prefers an aquarium with lots of rockwork. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.
