All of the above. I've also found that making sure I don't have low mag has helped too.

I'd do it is this order:
Mag levels in line
Outside air to skimmer if able
Kalk
CO2 Scrubber (look up FishofHex)

Edit: Also, making sure that my phosphate is in line has helped a lot. Probably very indirectly, but thought I'd throw it in there.

Edit 2: Doing this has helped me get my pH to a pretty rock solid 8.3 - 8.5 range. Prior to that I was scraping along at 7.6.

This is the way, but I will add to get your salinity to 1.026 (35 ppt) which will help/fix mag levels. Then go to these steps.

My pH levels have been falling since the weather turned cold in SE Michigan. Windows are closed, heat is on. I have a Neatmo weather station with a couple of indoor monitors so I know what my CO2 levels are - currently 700 - 600 ppm.

I don't run a skimmer in my BioCube32.

This morning my pH was around 7.6. I took an old very small air pump I had in the basement, placed it between the window and the screen for the window next to my reef tank. Ran an airline to the BioCube32, placed it in the back chamber - actually ran it inside of my InTank media basket all the way to the bottom and just letting the airline run without an airstone as a test. I've been checking every 30 minutes to see where the pH is at - after 3 hours pH is at 8.1 and still climbing.

Ordered a flat round airstone from Amazon to hopefully quiet down the bubbling. Already put some round insulation bead between the window and the sill so cold air isn't blowing into my Office, and some braces so the window can't be opened from the outside.

From my little test this morning, outside air is a quick and easy fix for pH issues.

New member here. I have 2 tanks. One with a lid and one without. Both have ph at 7.7. I have bubblers in the tanks and sumps, wave makers with good surface flow. alk is 9.5 and calcium 450. im considering a co2 skrubber and maybe snake plants next to the tanks to get the ph up to 8 for growth. any ideas?
