Finally getting around to posting this but would like thoughts/comments/feedback on my mixing station.

20g BRUTE trash can on top with a float valve for the RODI. Has a bulkhead with a garden faucet for gravity fed RODI into the mixing can below.

RODI is wall mounted but easily accessible for maintenance. Just requires emptying bottom can and moving it.

Mixing can is a 40g BRUTE trash can which gets mixed with a cheap amazon return pump. The fan on top blows across the water to ensure temp is about 79F since during the summer, no pump running, it’ll get to 85F and with the pump 93F.

Once mixing is done I have the same return pump next to my sump. I hook up my Python hose to it, place in the sump, and have it drain to the bathroom near by. Once emptied I do the reverse, and have the mixed water be pumped by the pump it was mixed with, into the sump.

On the left is my water softener. The RODI gets water from there via my DIY split and drained into the softeners drain.

Two different return pumps. I feel that like wasn’t clear. I had a small concern with cross contamination that I didn’t feel like doing research into, as opposed to another $20 pump.

What Cheap Amazon pump did you go with?

The RODI gets water from there via my DIY split and drained into the softeners drain.
Looking at the picture, I have the same connections on my water softener. What connections did you use to connect the RODI to it? Looks like several different reductions. You would save me several trips to Lowe's/Home Depot if you listed those out for me, please.

Hey! Really sorry. Life got busy and I wasn’t getting notified of any responses. If you still need help let me know! I’m guessing it’s a one inch pipe to and from your water softener?

Looks nice. My first mixing station was stacked like that. When I redesigned it a couple years ago I moved the saltwater bucket to the side of the table the freshwater bucket stands on.

Well Done Good Job GIF
