I frag a lot. I always saw aquariuns as gardens.....it's impossible to keep the shapes and the lines of the layout without do it.
I once felt sorry for that. Mostly when the tank was younger.
Now, I think that to keep the layout in check is more important than just let corals freely grows.
Nowadays, the frags go to some LFS of some friends.
About the brazilian reef community, I think it's relativelly big.
Brazil is a big country with over 200 million people, so.......of course there are a lot of reefers.
That said, the cost of the hobby here is prohibitive.
We're far from USA, Europe and China. The shipping costs are sky high.
This added to high cost of aquarium equipments and livestock, makes the hobby acessible to a small portion of the population.

Yesterday I did some reescape in the top of the big island, but I'm still not quite happy with the result.

One month ago I got a fish that I wanted for a loooong time.
An Halichoeres iridis
The fish is small and in the beggining some tension occurred.
Now, day by day, he feels more confident.
Best of all is that he is an active feeder since day one.
I think it'll be a hit.

Alex, please keep both the darkest green and the brightest green sps corals in your tank. As the contrast between them is a real highlight of your reef!

I always thought that to keep a strong flow is one of the keys to maintain corals and fishes happy.
I'm still figuring out what I'll do.
Even if I remove the colonies, it's very likely that I'll keep a frag of each one.
In the other hand, there's a "golden spathulata" that is the dullest sps in the tank. That one will go away, for sure....
