Hi everyone.
I have recently started a mixed reef tank
(started in Feb this year).
So far 5 months in things appear to be going well.
I did keep a tank over a decade ago, but only for a year as we moved house and everything got sold.
Been a baptism of fire and tbh I was amazed, as well as confused by some of the equipment available. The cost of it all is another story, anyway just thought I would say hello and will hopefully start a thread on my tank an progress soon.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!!

There certainly is a lot fo gear! But you don't need everything to be successful. A lot of it just lessens the manual maintenance involved. I have a very successful tank that just has a a light, heater, filter sock and powerhead.

You can always build your equipment up over time after starting with the essentials.
