No new additions, I have a feeling it could be from an accidental nip from another fish while I was feeding.. I have a larger female clown and a royal gramma, they act like they haven’t seen food for days and go kind of wild, sometimes run into each other/aim for the same piece of food. Is this possible? It looks almost internalAny recent additions to the tank?
Could be an injury, bacterial infection, possibly Uronema.
An injury is very likely then. I would just keep an eye on it for a few days. If it worsens you may need to treat. If the spot starts looking better I would just leave it be.No new additions, I have a feeling it could be from an accidental nip from another fish while I was feeding.. Yeah, I just fed them some fish eggs for the first time and they went absolutely nuts. I’m hoping it’s not something serious.. on the topic of bacterial infections, is there a product you would recommend? An injury is very likely then. I would just keep an eye on it for a few days. Awesome I definitely will! So bacterial infections can’t be dealt with in the DT? Wouldn’t it be from the water? Excuse my rookie questions lolI use several different concoctions. None of which are reef safe. They have to be used in QT.
Nitrofuracin Green is my go to. Covers super wide range of both gram negative and positive infections.
More widely available is the "trifecta". Kanaplex, Metroplex, and Furan-2.
Either would be suitable in this situation if it is something more than a bruise (which I wouldn't say it is at this point). Continue to monitor and update us!
Most coral and inverts will not handle Antibiotics.Awesome I definitely will! So bacterial infections can’t be dealt with in the DT? Wouldn’t it be from the water? Excuse my rookie questions lol
