if you have the tank for it I would say yeah go for it. beautiful creature. what clown fish do they host?
I don’t think it would be a great host as it eats fish. I’ve seen one via YouTube from a master reefer who had a 30 year old clown fish hosting what looked to be a carpet anemone

Many different clowns will be hosted by a carpet. As well as a few species of crab and shrimp

They host most Clownfish species naturally, including our loved Occelaris and Percula species. Other species they host are;
Clarkii Clowns,
Skunk Clowns,
Saddleback Clowns,
Omani Clowns,
Madagascan Clowns,
Wideband Clowns,
Barrier Reef Clowns,
Chagos Clowns,
Mauritian Clowns,
Orange Fin Clowns,
Seychelles Clowns,
White Bonnet Clowns,
Australian Clowns,
Sebae Clowns,
Thielle’s Clowns,
Three Band Clowns.

Not all of these are hosted by both species of Stichodactyla anemone as some are hosted by Haddoni but not Mertensii and some are naturally hosted by Mertensii but not Haddoni.

They look great when you have the clowns in there. Your captive bred will take some time to go to it but wild ones normally go instinctively.
