Hey all - Just received some chaeto and saw it had some red planaria flatworms in it. Unfortunately I had to buy from somewhere other than AlgaeBarn and ReefCleaners, as they were sold out every time I checked. I haven't put the chaeto in my sump yet, but wanted to get some input before I make any decisions. Would a freshwater dip or soak kill the flatworms, or do I need to use flatworm exit? Am I better off just throwing it out all together? I'd rather not waste the $20 and sit around and wait for one of the "clean" chaetos to become available, but I'm sure that's better than the headache of potentially introducing planaria worms to my tank. Appreciate anyone's input.

Throw it out! Once red planaria take hold your pretty much dealing with them forever without extreme measures, especially with a fuge with no predators. After the have them if just a control that numbers game

I have flatworm issue in my refugium now that I have been fighting for. A month or so . I am thinking about treating with Exit but Zoa fanatic just told me there
Is an electric blue nudibranch that will feed on flatworms in your fuge

I ended up just throwing the chaeto out and getting some from a cleaner source.
