I'm curious how people like their RP's and how they achieve those colors? All red or the red and green combo....I tend to lean toward the green base and red...

I've got a 75g (standard measurements) with 250w MH Phoenix 14k. I put my Red Plant about 10" from the surface. It has a nice green / red mix right now. Been in that spot for over a year. I love the color, but would like to see it's growth rate pick up a bit.

Any chance of a pic? I have the same setup, but using aquamaxx 14k.

High light deep burgundy, lower light light burgundy with green base highlights. Low NO3/PO4 also a plus.

The green is lost even in lower light as it becomes a larger colony IME.

My colony hasn't had any green since it was a frag. It's under 10,000K 1,000wt MH and VHO actinics.

It is just under a foot across. Started it from a half frag 2 years prior.

The last one is a year and a half old or so. Sorry they aren't very crisp, they are iPhone pics I had saved on my phone.
