Red Sea Failure?

Hello all,

I had to empty my tank due to a power outage but noticed that it seems to have some bubbling in either the seams or seam protector. Red Sea 750 G2. Thoughts???

That's how it begins sometimes. RedSea will probably tell you the armored seams are working because the bubbles haven't spread past them yet, but we all know how often this assessment has been proven wrong.

I'm really sorry , but I think you might want to get another tank ASAP. Don't trust their G3 series either, get a different brand so you don't have to worry about this stuff anymore.

Congrats you caught it before it turned into an expensive uncontrolled water feature.

Stories like this are why I'm so glad I didn't get a Red Sea tank...which I almost did when joining the hobby.

Break it down and replace the display. Not worth the risk.

Yep I had a power outage and lost my whole tank about a week and a half ago. Didn’t notice this beforehand but happy I didn’t refill it.

Almost comedic to see that response especially with how deep the compromise is on the vertical seam...

I wasn't surprised. It wasn't a total loss tho. A 40 g breeder fit the stand so I added a hob overflow and now have a nice observation tank.
