Red Sea reef mat 250 noise level?

Hello everyone.

I am looking into getting a Red Sea roller mat 250 for my Red Sea reefer 250 V3. I have a few questions that I hope I can get answers to.
What are your thoughts on the unit for those running them?
I am also quite sensitive to sound levels especially given that the tank is in a bedroom.
Does the unit cause additional significant noise when it’s operating or any “gurgling” or splashing sounds as a result of the plumbing modifications?

If you run it via a full siphon + gate valve with the unit sitting in reasonable water height, I don't find it any different than filter socks as far as noise when used in a similar manner.

If it's run on an open drain where air and water mix then there will be noticable noise due to the air

If the roller is suspended too far above the water/not submerged at all then it will have that cascading noise (floss will probably last longer though)

Lastly the smaller the auto advance length, the more consistent your drain/noise level/ato will be.

I am planning on keeping the ATO that comes with the tank.
In order to do that Red Sea says that I need to cut both the valved and emergency drain. But it does not elaborate on the plumbing modifications I must do on the emergency drain.

when it’s rolling the motor noise is quite annoying. I could hear it through cabinet and a shut room door. Lucky it doesn’t roll very frequently
