That little cabinet is a genius idea. The corner next to my tank looks like a utility sub-station and I have these stupid elaborate plans to tidy it up behind a plastic wall. IKEA FTW beats my concept hands down :)

Haha plus gives me a nice top to do all my testing etc

Time to make some filter cups i will use these for carbon and phosphate remover or floss i got the idea from a youtuber and went ahead

Below are the cups, i purchased 2

Cut them so they sit flush with the red sea filter sock trays

And then drilled a few holes on the bottom and sides so allow water flow through them

Found a guy on ebay selling them cheap so i picked them up

When i got them i could see the rocks were green and noticed on ebay the seller had a pic of his tank covered in hair algea.. so i bleached the rocks for 2 weeks... i made a massive mistake here. I used the wrong bleach it was scented i soaked them for about 2-3 weeks and when i got them out they were white as snow. I noticed no matter what i did the bleach smell wouldnt go. Even when i rinsed and let them air dry for days in the sun... so i spent another 2 weeks rinsing them thoroughly over and over and then letting them dry. That finally did the trick
