Red Sea ReefLed 90 - Can you help me to tune them properly? (Maybe in a way Dinos dont like it too much?)

Hi there!
I run two Red Sea ReefLed 90 on my Reefer 350. I use the Mounting arms from red sea as well.
I was wondering if somebody could help me to get a good lighting plan for my reef.

Currently they run at 100% (with clouds) following the attached schedule.

I am struggeling with Dinos at the Moment:

@Teemingtank gave me the great idea to create a new thread to get the lighting "tightend up", so here I am :)
Maybe there is a way to create a light (less white light was suggested) that is less fortunate for the dinos I am struggeling with.

Thanks for your time and help to read this right away!

Hi piranhaman00!
Thanks for your postresponse. the tank is 2 Months old. If you head over to the dino thread i referenced you can see the dinos under a microscope and i attached more pictures related to that topic.
I didnt want to start another dino thread here, my idea was to focus on lighting and therefore didnt include any dino pics.

Kind regards

Oh yes I even commented on that. Every tank has dinos if you look through a microscope, it’s about keeping the tank balanced so they don’t become the dominant species and explode in growth, developing the brown snot messes.

Your tank looks very nice, two months is very young and why they popped up. Keep nutrients up. Don’t add more coral, you may very well experience more troubling algae in the future so just take it slow.

I wouldn’t change anything light wise. Keep nutrients up and they will continue to go away. Blowing rocks and sand bed with a UV Is 100% effective if you are really anxious, you have to blow the rocks to get them into the water column though some species do not enter column on their own.

With how minimal your “outbreak” is I will caution to not use any chemical additives that may seem to work.

Good luck!

Thank you VERY MUCH for your help! So far UV is working amazing, only dosing po4 at the moment to get that up, not planning to dose any chemicals the way its going and looking right now.

Awesome! Ya dosing PO4 and NO3 is great! I meant more of the quick fixes out there. They work but usually have their own baggage.

I have same tank same lights as you this is the program I use. Started with 20k then I tuned it. I hated the white light that high I don’t go over 35% with whites. Love the look. My tank is almost 9 months. also I run an icecap algae turf scrubber that probably helps. This is my light schedule. I love it.
