I'm going to join your post as this is the exact style stand My wife and I want to go with

What is the total width of this stand? Im debating on using either a 75 like you did or a 3ft 65 breeder

Total width of the stand is 60.75 inches. If you can i would go 75, that extra foot of space is great swim space for smaller tangs :)
Also here is a fresh from tonight FTS, with the whole canopy if any one else wants to see. pardon the dirty glass, i havent cleaned it in a few days.

Sad news... we had the first casualties of 2024. Lost a 4 year old tuxedo urchin and a 5 year old pajama cardinal. Both were not sudden, the urchin was pretty noticeable. the tines started looking untidy and it started hiding in a sheltered shadow spot over the course of a week or so, then quit moving and lost tines, at that point i knew it was the end of the road for that industrious little dude. The pajama just started getting lethargic and hiding too, then was belly up still was eating though. The other urchin and other pajamas are all happy as clams. As an avid practitioner of animal husbandry all we can hope is that for the time we get to enjoy these creatures in our lives, that they are well cared for and lack for nothing.

Alright, actual update time. Finally got around to making a stand for my autofeeder, this is v1.0. I may revise it as i dont think i am 100% satisfied with it yet. We will see.

I also added a gyre wavemaker. So far i like it! This being my first gyre style pump, i opted cheap in case i hated it and went jebao, scp120. After i added it, I was worried it would be too much flow as even on the lowest setting it was blasting some of my lps, but now that it has been in the tank a few weeks and has a bit of algae it is perfect. Guess it is like a good chowder. Gotta let it simmer a while for best results.

Built a new ATO with a pi zero w, it sends me text messages when it's out of water or hasn't run in a few hours. Also if the lower sensor fails and if the return pump shuts off. I went away from the optical sensors in the last one and now just use float switches. It also has 2 temperature probes(not shown) to track temps and text me if the 2 probes are over or under temp, or if the no longer agree. Print is a little rough, old wet filament, and 2 letters pulled off, but it is hidden in the stand anyhow.

Getting ready to plant some of these dudes, still working out where for some of them. Ordered a bluelight special battlebox during the Buddy Gutz sale and that changed a few ideas i had for placement.

Late to the party but man what a ride it was getting caught up. What a great build ( absolutely love the stand) it was fun being able to read 5 years in a hour. Will definitely be following along from here on.

Some update pics, need to do a full tank update, but not much has changed, except the sunset monty, birds of paradise, frogskin, and forest fire digi have gotten huge, like softball size. I need to mount all 22 of these, but kinda stuck on where they should go.
1000008320.jpg

Frag rack row is starting to get some real fire though, i got another battlebox, a blue light special, as well as some custom picks from Battlecorals, nero table, bloodbank, bubblebath unicorn, a fire engine, diabloberrybow, and a growout contest poletti yellow tip. The bluelight specials look awesome, but pictures never turn out good. I will have to practice and get better ones soon. But anyways, here are a few from the rack :)

Strawberry fields, pink hyacinthus (back left) and RR pink Cadillac (back right)
1000008414.jpg

The pink hyacinthus is really starting to pull some deep pinks and is looking good here is a blues shot
1000008441.jpg

Nero table is really starting to show me some love too, gorgeous piece from Battlecorals btw.
1000008444.jpg

Bubblebath Unicorn came in a little browned out, but is starting to get a pretty purple hue. Cant wait to see it grow out!
1000008443.jpg

Couple blue light specials. Sorry for the dirty bit of glass in that top one. It is also my wife's favorite of the bunch so far too.

A fire engine!

And last, but not least, poor FHC Blukachu. It came in super pretty then turned into a brown turd for a few months, but it is getting some really neat yellow frosting! I think it is finally starting to get happy in my tank

Been getting too much help lately!
1000005537.jpg

My daughter wanted a kitty, and my wife has a soft heart. So, when my dad's co-worker had three kittens that needed a home, we had to take them all because "we dont want to split up the siblings!"
They all love the tank too lol, a little too much. One of them about fell in the top so i had to improvise! What do you think?
(No, their heads dont fit through the squares. Had to check that too!)

Lol, ya, I have a helper kitty too. We got a year or 2 ago was supposed to be a barn cat but decided she liked the house so she comes in every evening for dinner and sleeps on the sofa for a few hours before she wants to go out. She was definitely indispensable as a quality control checker in my build. Her name is Steven French and is a good helper lol.
