In finding a schedule for my Meridian 11 I came across yours, it's easily my favorite compared to the others. Perfect balance that produces a nice white crisp light, very similar to MH. The intensity gave me pause, but I like ramp up. Very few tank task or changes show immediate positive response by the corals, the corals in my tank immediately showed more PE. 👍

Oh snap...he's on to me!
Yes, that is indeed my schedule. For full disclosure, here is my 39 inch blade schedule:
6446.jpg

The 48 inch meso blue helix is turned up to 90% and is on from 1130 am to 830 pm.

I still feel like i could benefit from a little more light though. Somenof the stuff a little deeper gets some shading issues now and again.
How do you like the helix? I'm considering adding one or 2 eventually

hello sir ! thank you for your purchase of our 8 holed shelf ! I see your comments about the rock and holes. Im 100 percent sure you are displaying it upside down ! the holes are handdrilled at the correct placement with slight angles and if displayed upside down you will not be able to place the plugs correctly ! Happy reefing everyone !
Pardon me, but are the exterior magnets for your racks rated for submersion? I would be interested in putting one on my overflow I think

Just checked out their site as I have the same question.

From their site: Can the outer magnets of a frag rock be used in an overflow? Yes! the inner embedded magnets are the same as the outer magnets sealed and ready to be placed in an overflow.

The coral fairy paid me a visit this evening in his big brown van! I got 2 of the 3 boxes i am anticipating. Battlecorals box was delayed a day, Adam saw the chaos with the weather and decided to hold off, good thing he did, the other 2, both coming from california were likewise a little delayed (luckily only a few hours, not days!)

Here is the Krusty Kraken! Way cool growout from Dust Bowl Corals. Whoever gets their cyphastraea to encrust the whole kraken first wins!

And this one is for SPS Tank's Tropicana grow out. This is a beautiful tank and will give me some of that orange pop that i have been very much missing now that most of the nems are gone. This thing is going to be BRIGHT!

I will have some more pics for you all tomorrow when box #3 shows up!
That Kraken grow out will be really cool!!! Is it to late to get in on that?

I've been using several of their frag shelves on my AIO wall for a year or more and they show zero problems. Their site says they are submersible as well.

I just may in the market for one or more of these then! You don't realize how quickly you run out of space 😅

I have six of them on my back wall. Three are shelves and three are the little single plug holders. I don't have a lot of coral but the shelves do triple duty as frag holders, aguascaping to break up the big black panel and as cover for the fish. The large Aqua Rock (the same one that @Red_Beard likes to use upside down) is the favorite hangout for the Foxface and Bristletooth. In fact the Foxface sleeps under it.

I actually added them more for the fish than for the corals.

Thank you! That is awesome to hear that it is working out so well! I also love that old school MH look and the 14k optics on the meridians do a great job.

I love my helix. The meso blue is great, thinking about adding a reef crest day to mine too. I just have it plugged into a kasa smart outlet for timer on/off, has been doing a really good job. I have no reservations recommending you get one, if you are in the market for a strip.

I thought it was @kingranch2003 that was using it upside down. We both of them doing it? They can be "The Upside Down Brothers" if so.

Cue @steveschuerger for his handy dandy AI pics for The Upside Down Brothers.

Things learned from resealing the 75:
1. Cleaning old silicon can be a PITA
2. Caulking spatulas are legit
3. Silicon tooling time is very important, and once you've run out leave it alone...or it will turn in to a mess.
4. If i were to do it again i wouldn't tape the lines, just take a bit of caution and just use the spatula. It makes a really clean line.
My son told me today as I am putting baffles in a 20 Breeder that he saw a guy who shaped a spatula as you call it to suit his needs from a plastic card. also cutting the silicone nozzle to a shape to give a certain profile .

I think the aqueon 75 main with a 40 breeder is probably the best set up by far.
You'll get just over 100g total volume, 48x18 is just right size in most living rooms, imho. But the key is the 18" of depth on both the display And the sump. Sooo much room.
I cant wait to see how you plan to scape it!

David
I am doing the same idea using a Modular Marine Overflow on a drilled 76 Seafora and a 40 breeder that I am putting baffles in

You're most likely correct as I am easily confused. Too many threads, too few active brain cells.

Good morning, Steve!

Can you please add beards to both of them? Of course, one of the beards needs to be, um, red.
Gonna hafta wait for that one. I’ve used ChatGPT so much that I’ve temporarily reached the limit for free account. Googles as well..
