I'm thinking of adding a neon goby. What's everyones thoughts ?

I think you can have a community of them (4-8) within the tank assuming your current fish load is relatively low. The only caution would be to ensure you use IM FishGuard Overflow Protector. I have lost a couple due to it going behind the tank and living there for sometime before disappearing. I have Greenbanded Goby community in 2 of my tanks and enjoy their interactions.

I guess it depends on what size you get. I tend to buy small when possible and grow them out. These looks to be similar in size imo - Small: 1/2" to 1" Medium: 1" to 1-3/4". It's more of the fact they are thin horizontally and can slip pass the filter holes/cuts on the tank.

How do you guys take top down shots without light reflecting off the water?

What ive seen recommended is use a clear plastic contaner to float on the top of water the use that to take top shots supposed to remove glare and water movement from your pic.

So the neon goby idea was replaced with a tail spot. I'm struggling getting a picture of him or her. Overall tanks going well. Almost at the 8th month mark. I think I'm stocked to the max now. Most corals are growing well I feel I have the lights and flow dialed in. Still little touches of cyno now and again... Whatever lol. Added 6 pieces GSP to back wall. Looks like we will be moving so tank will be sold.

Looks great and thanks about the vibrant I finally got a bottle and in one day the bubble algae turned clear and kinda got a wrinkled look. I am still getting the tanks health back on track but that is helping till i do. SPS is hanging on barely but hanging on colors have faded but flesh and skeletons are still growing and new polyps are appearing even though i have lost some spots in the original parts of them. LPS are hit and miss my smaller hammer is doing great while the larger one seems to be just as big but its moving its polyps away from one side, possibly the smaller one is bothering it. As for softies gsp is starting to spread now that the bubble algae that came up in it is fading and my zoas i lost one, another i lost some polyps while the others are flourishing as well as my purple death paly is growing pretty fast it is up to five polyps from one.

Everyone's tank is different and vibrant attacks easiest algae first but stay true and it should help.
