Who's jumping over? Glad to see more competition getting in the controller space. Similar price point to hydros and Apex

I would like to see these in person! Cool that they are branching out into the controller world now

Given the recent positive reviews of AquaWiz….I wonder if that process/tech is patented and who will copy it first?

Will the Chinese Government allow Jebao to copy AquaWiz?

Sort of wish the USA would just say…you have stolen tech, patents & secrets from us for decades, so…….we are going to let Aperture return the favor for knocking of their Powerheads.

Not a chance anything Red Sea goes on any of my tanks. Stop supporting them and they’ll eventually fix their tanks and stop driving people out of the hobby
I whole heartedly agree, just wish someone would make a roller mat with a similar feature set as the ReefMat.

If there is not a team of electrical engineers, then it takes a long while to design, test and refine a controller.
I get that R&D takes a while but just my opinion, I’d look at doing something to separate from the rest. I’m just not seeing anything special with this is all.

I’m sure it’ll be popular as it’s RedSea and will also likely have some bundle deal with their tanks. Just not something for me.

Price point is wrong unless I am missing something. 700 rounding up for their largest offering? Neptune A3 660, rounding up and the A3 Jr at 300, also rounding up. Pretty sure Hydros offers similar priced points. Both Neptune and Hydros have more modules and a longer history. Edit: and GHL.

With regards to RS pushing product innovation it just isn't there on the surface that isn't already available with other brands.

Based on what I see today most long term vendors are moving to device related apps and inner connectivity across them. That means, in my opinion, more and more mini controllers are going to muck up the landscape. So far I give kudo's to Neptune for at least offering a layer for others to use should they want to. Kessil and Sicce as two excellent examples providing huge quality of live improvements.

As to the OP question - hard pass. For no other reason that a long time user of Neptune and see no need to change.

Electrical engineers don’t design electronics. 😀

But I do get what you are trying to say.

In house design and expertise is often faster than outsourcing an idea to a 3rd part developer. But the real difference is often also the distinction between a company built around product design, vs a company with a finger in the air to cash in on a trend.
