RedSea Reef LED 50 Schedules?

I have a RedSea Reef LED 50 over my Reefer 170 and I'm just looking to see what schedule others are using?

I've currently got my blues at 50% and whites at 10% with no idea if this is too much or too little light. If anyone could post their schedules from the reefbeat app that would be much appreciated and any advice would be great.

I have 3 LED 90s over my 300 gallon tank. Im at 100% blue and 50% white. My tank is 8x2x3 for reference so yours won't need that high of light. My tank is FOWLR, no corals. I adjusted my lights to see what my eels and other predator fish liked and came out and swam the most in. If you have or plan to have corals a PAR meter to determine the actual light would help you out the most, also depending on the kinds of corals. I hope this helps, it's hard to tell someone what light is the best for their tank without testing the PAR and seeing what seems to aggravate or make things in the tank happy.

Great thanks for that, a PAR meter is on the agenda. I think I'm going to look into the Seneye device as an actual PAR meter is extremely expensive for the amount it will be used and there's nowhere around me in the UK that rent them out.

It was more to just give me a rough idea of what to do for now as I have some corals showing they are happy and some not so much - likewise with my zoas, I have some that are stretching for the light, and some that are flush with the rockwork (all in roughly the same location in the tank) so its hard to determine weather I have too little or too much light.

same light on RS g2 xl and peak at 90% blue 50% white ramping up and down. Also have a 45 watt plant grow light for mangroves on 9 hour per day. Imo, your set up seems dim, imo, but you should only adjust based on corals.

Great thank you, I was under the impression I was running it a bit dim, but I'd rather start off dim than overcook things. Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of your graph?

I run one reefled 50 over an IM Nuvo 20. I’ve always just run it at 100% blue and the white, which is just for visuals on this light, I ramp up to 30%, then down to 10%, then off for the remainder of my schedule.

Brilliant thank you for that. I’ve just made a rough copy of it on my app and it is giving me the warning of harming the corals with too much light.. do people tend to ignore this?

Haha, yes got the same warning but ignored it. Have been running this schedule since September 4 with “great” results. I also have a 45 and 65 watt plant grow light over the aquarium for mangroves run 9.5 hours per day, so even more light! I slowly ramped up intensity over a few months, so take it slow. Light can be tricky, especially LEDs!

I use have 2 on a 24 inch cube and got two narrow shades. I use the 100bule 10white schedule.

I was doing a 80/20 blue/white ramp up but found the corals are doing better with the 100/10.

I also have an over head light that is on most of the day. So it adds a good deal of white light.

That looks great! ill keep that in mind then thank you. I can't see it being a forever light, its great when its working, but its a bit of a nightmare to connect to the Wifi - Every time the power goes out it takes about 45 minutes to get it up and running again :dizzy-face:
